Description
Lionel Osmin & Cie’s Chambre d’Amour Blanc Léger 2024 is a bright, easy-drinking white that captures the fresh, aromatic character of south-western France. Made by a specialist négociant dedicated to the region’s distinctive wines, it offers an approachable style with lively fruit and refreshing balance—ideal for relaxed occasions and lighter meals.
Tasting Notes
Pale and luminous in the glass, this 2024 white opens with an inviting bouquet of fresh citrus, white flowers and ripe orchard fruit. The palate is light-bodied and vibrant, combining crisp acidity with delicate fruit character and a clean, refreshing finish. Its charm lies in its youthful freshness, so it is best enjoyed within the first few years of release rather than being held for long-term ageing.
Production
The wine reflects Lionel Osmin & Cie’s focus on the varied terroirs of south-western France, a region strongly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and known for its cool, often humid growing conditions. The producer works with local growers and seeks to farm as organically as possible, with the long-term aim of eliminating residues from plant-protection products. The 2024 vintage is crafted to preserve the grapes’ natural freshness and aromatic expression through careful handling and a fruit-focused vinification.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. Chambre d’Amour Blanc Léger is a versatile partner for seafood, oysters, grilled fish, salads, fresh goat’s cheese and light poultry dishes; its refreshing style also makes it a pleasant aperitif. Decanting is not necessary—open shortly before serving and enjoy while young and lively.
Producer
Founded around a deep commitment to the wines of south-western France, Lionel Osmin & Cie produces and selects wines from areas including Jurançon, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Cahors, Gaillac and Bergerac, alongside Armagnac. The house is notable for championing regional varieties such as Petit and Gros Manseng and Malbec, while pursuing increasingly sustainable vineyard practices. Since launching an ambitious tree-planting programme in 2010, the company has helped replant the Landes forest and restore storm-affected landscapes; by the end of 2018, almost 43,000 trees had been planted across more than 40 hectares.
