Description
Les Vignobles Torpez Petite Bravade is a fresh and expressive Provence rosé inspired by the sunlit landscapes and coastal character of Saint-Tropez. Produced by the historic Torpez winery, founded in 1908, it combines vibrant fruit, a soft palate and a gently saline finish in a style that captures the elegance of the region.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows a delicate pale peach-pink colour with attractive salmon highlights. Its lively nose is centred on fresh fruit, revealing aromas of small red fruits, red berries, kiwi and ripe peach.
On the palate, it is full-bodied yet supple, with generous fruit and a smooth, rounded texture. The finish is pleasantly saline and peach-like, adding freshness and a distinctly Mediterranean feel. As a non-vintage rosé, it is best enjoyed young while its fruit and aromatic brightness are at their most expressive.
Production
The grapes are sourced from the distinctive natural surroundings of Saint-Tropez, where the Mediterranean setting contributes to the wine’s freshness and subtle saline character. Harvesting is carried out both by hand and mechanically, followed by careful pressing. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures between 14 and 20°C to preserve aromatic complexity. After fermentation, the wine matures on its lees with regular bâtonnage, building additional texture and flavour. It is then cold-stabilised for four to five weeks before bottling.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its bright fruit and gentle salinity make it an excellent match for fresh goat’s cheese, pickled vegetables and sea urchin, as well as light Mediterranean dishes and seafood. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the bottle a few minutes in the glass for the aromas to open.
