Les Vignobles Torpez, Côtes de Provence Bravade 2020

Les Vignobles Torpez Côtes de Provence Bravade 2020 is a polished red wine from Provence, offering ripe dark-fruit character alongside gentle structure. Its combination of soft texture, discreet tannins and refined southern French spice makes it an appealing expression of the region’s red-wine style.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays a beautiful black-cherry colour with ruby-red highlights. On the nose, it reveals aromas of stewed and spiced black fruits, complemented by notes of woodland undergrowth and kirsch. On the palate, Bravade is both supple and structured, with discreet tannins that provide balance and continuity. The ripe fruit and savoury nuances are already approachable, while the structure gives the wine the potential to develop further over the next few years when carefully stored.

Production
The grapes were hand-harvested and placed in crates, either whole or partially destemmed. A pre-fermentation cold maceration at 5°C lasted 8–10 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 3–4 weeks at 20–25°C. Gentle pumping-over continually immersed the cap, while racking was carried out without pumping and guided by daily tastings to achieve the desired tannin profile for each grape variety and vintage.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 16–18°C with roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, Provençal stews, duck or hearty dishes featuring mushrooms and herbs. Decanting is not essential, but 20–30 minutes in a decanter can help open the wine’s dark-fruit and woodland aromas, particularly when served young.
