Les Beaux Jours, Laudun Levant 2023

Les Beaux Jours Laudun Levant 2023 is an elegant and structured red from Laudun, one of the Rhône Valley’s distinguished village appellations. Its combination of round texture, polished tannins and well-integrated alcohol makes it both refined and approachable, while the careful selection of vineyard parcels brings added depth and complexity.

Tasting Notes
The wine presents a rich, deep colour in the glass, with an inviting, expressive nose suggesting ripe dark fruit and subtle savoury nuances. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, yet supported by impressive structure and finely judged tannins. A balanced finish combines freshness with generous fruit character. It can be enjoyed now for its accessible style, but its structure should allow it to develop further over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
The grapes come from carefully selected vineyard parcels in Laudun, in the southern Rhône. They are harvested once fully ripe, then destemmed and crushed before undergoing a long maceration of approximately one month in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Gentle, attentive extraction helps build colour, texture and structure while preserving balance and elegance.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, duck, sausage dishes and hearty Mediterranean recipes. It also works well with mature cheeses and mushroom-based dishes. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant of 30–60 minutes can help the wine open and soften its youthful structure.
