Léoville Barton is sourced from the Saint-Julien appellation on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravel-rich soils over clay and limestone encourage deep rooting and excellent drainage. The vineyard parcels are carefully managed and harvested by hand, ensuring that only ripe, healthy fruit is selected for the estate’s classic style. Vinification is traditional and precise, with fermentation designed to preserve freshness, purity of fruit, and the firm backbone that defines the château’s wines, followed by élevage in oak barrels to add complexity and polish.
