Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is deeply coloured yet remarkably refined, with a polished, almost velvet-like appearance. The nose is layered and expressive, offering dark cherry, blackberry, plum, violet, truffle, graphite, and subtle spice notes that unfold with remarkable finesse. On the palate, Le Pin 2019 is concentrated but never heavy, combining silky tannins with vivid freshness and a long, seamless finish. The wine’s balance, aromatic depth, and texture suggest exceptional ageing potential, with the ability to evolve beautifully over decades.

Production
Le Pin is produced in Pomerol, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, where small parcels of gravelly and sandy soils over clay contribute to the estate’s signature purity and texture. The vineyard is farmed with meticulous attention, and the grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness to preserve freshness and precision. Vinification is carried out with great care in small lots to protect the wine’s aromatic detail and structure.

Food & Serving
Best served with refined dishes such as filet of beef, roast lamb, duck breast, truffle risotto, or mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16-18°C and consider decanting for one to two hours, especially if drinking young, to allow the wine’s aromatic complexity to fully open.
