Production
Boca DOC sits in northern Piedmont, where the cooler climate and volcanic-mineral soils help Nebbiolo reach a particularly expressive, elegant form. Vespolina is a challenging grape to farm because it is sensitive to damp weather and disease, and yields are often low, but in this blend it brings spice, floral perfume, and a subtle silky richness that complements the structure of Nebbiolo. Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine with a strong sense of place, making it an excellent match for braised beef, roast duck, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes, game birds, and aged hard cheeses. Serve it slightly cool, around 16–18°C, to bring out its perfume and freshness. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the wine to open fully and soften its tannins.
