Le Chiuse Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is an organic expression of Tuscany’s iconic Sangiovese, produced under the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino DOCG classification. Made entirely from Sangiovese and matured for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks, it combines the structure expected of Brunello with an elegant, aromatic character. Brunello di Montalcino has long been regarded as one of Italy’s finest and most age-worthy red wines.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, this Brunello offers an intense and persistent bouquet, with layers of ripe berries, berry preserve, woodland undergrowth and a delicate touch of vanilla. The palate is dry, harmonious and refined, balancing firm structure with a broad, almost ethereal texture and excellent aromatic persistence. Its polished tannins and natural concentration give it considerable ageing potential, and it should develop further complexity over the coming years when properly cellared.

Production
Produced from 100% Sangiovese grown in the Montalcino area, this organic Brunello reflects the region’s favourable Tuscan hillside terroir. The wine is matured for 36 months in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks, allowing the fruit, tannins and oak to integrate gradually while preserving the variety’s distinctive aromatic identity. It is bottled under the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG designation.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 18°C after allowing the bottle to come gently to temperature. This structured red is an excellent match for Tuscan dishes, grilled or roasted red meats, game, aged Pecorino and rich mushroom-based preparations. Decanting for around one hour is recommended when enjoying the wine young, while older bottles are best opened carefully and decanted only if necessary to remove sediment.
