Laurenz V.’s Kamptal Reserve Charming Grüner Veltliner 2015 is an elegant, complex and highly expressive interpretation of Austria’s signature white grape. Defined by beautiful mineral freshness, a creamy texture and an intensely refreshing finish, it reflects the estate’s ambition to present Grüner Veltliner in a refined, internationally appealing style. The wine comes from a producer founded in 2005 by Laurenz Maria Moser V., a descendant of the renowned Lenz Moser wine family.

Tasting Notes
Bright and inviting in the glass, this Grüner Veltliner combines a poised, mineral character with a creamy, rounded mouthfeel. The aroma and palate show the subtle spiciness associated with the variety, complemented by elegant acidity and lively, gently playful flavours. Its pronounced freshness carries through to a long, persistent finish that is both refreshing and harmonious. The wine’s balance between texture, mineral definition and acidity allows it to be enjoyed now, while the 2015 vintage and Reserve style suggest that it can continue to develop additional complexity with careful cellaring over the coming years.

Production
The wine is associated with the Kamptal, one of Austria’s leading regions for Grüner Veltliner, while Laurenz V. also works with trusted growers in the Kamptal, Kremstal and Weinviertel. Specific harvesting methods for this cuvée are not provided. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless-steel tanks, followed by eight months of maturation on fine lees before bottling, helping to build the wine’s creamy texture while preserving its freshness and mineral character.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its combination of freshness, subtle spice and creamy texture makes it a natural partner for grilled or roasted fish, shellfish, poultry, pork, fresh salads and classic Austrian dishes such as Wiener schnitzel. It also works well with lightly spiced Asian cuisine and vegetable-based dishes. Decanting is generally not necessary, although a short period of aeration in the glass can allow its aromas to open further.

Laurenz V. was established in April 2005 when Laurenz Maria Moser V., heir to the celebrated Austrian Lenz Moser wine family, devoted himself fully to producing Grüner Veltliner. Working with partners Franz Schweiger, who oversees finance, and Dieter Hübler, responsible for marketing and distribution, he focuses on vineyard work and vinification. The winery produces a range of distinctive Grüner Veltliner cuvées, including Charming Grüner, Sunny, Singing, Friendly, Silver Bullet, Grüner Forever and Forbidden Grüner Veltliner. Today, Laurenz V. exports to 42 countries and is recognised for helping communicate an elegant, contemporary style of Austrian Grüner Veltliner to an international audience.
