Lapis Luna Lodi Chardonnay 2023 is a generous California white wine that combines ripe orchard fruit with a softly rounded texture. Made from Chardonnay and fermented in both stainless-steel tanks and French oak barrels, it offers a balanced style with freshness, subtle vanilla notes, and an invitingly smooth finish.

Tasting Notes
The wine is bright and pale in appearance. Its aromas show lively citrus alongside white peach and nectarine, complemented by a delicate hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rounded, with a pleasant level of acidity that keeps the wine fresh and balanced. The finish is persistent, leaving a clean impression of ripe fruit and gentle oak. It is best enjoyed in its youth, although it should develop nicely over the next couple of years when properly stored.

Production
The Chardonnay comes from Lodi, California, a region known for its warm climate and wide range of soils. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and carefully pressed. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless-steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels, creating a balance between fruit-forward freshness and subtle creamy, vanilla-tinged oak character.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This Chardonnay pairs well with roasted or grilled chicken, creamy pasta, seafood, shellfish, and mildly seasoned white fish. It also works nicely with soft cheeses and dishes featuring herbs or light cream sauces. Decanting is not necessary, though allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass can help open its aromas.
