Lagrange 3ème Grand Cru Classé Saint-Julien 2018 is a polished and classically styled Bordeaux from one of the Médoc’s most respected estates. As a Third Growth from the 1855 Classification, it combines Saint-Julien’s trademark structure and finesse with the richness and precision of an excellent 2018 vintage.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with youthful brightness at the rim. The nose is elegant and layered, offering blackcurrant, plum, cedar, graphite, violets, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, expect a refined, medium- to full-bodied wine with ripe dark fruit, fresh acidity, and well-integrated tannins that give shape without harshness. The finish is long and savory, with classic Bordeaux notes of tobacco, spice, and earth. While already approachable with proper decanting, it has the structure and balance to develop beautifully over time.

Production
Lagrange’s vineyards in Saint-Julien benefit from gravelly soils that provide excellent drainage and encourage the vines to root deeply, helping produce concentrated, balanced fruit. The wine is crafted from carefully harvested grapes and vinified with a focus on preserving fruit purity, structure, and the estate’s traditional Bordeaux style, followed by aging in oak barrels to add complexity and polish.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef fillet, duck breast, game, and dishes with mushrooms or truffle. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
