Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby colour with mature garnet reflections as it develops. The nose is poised and complex, with layers of blackcurrant, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, and subtle earthy notes, all wrapped in the estate’s hallmark finesse. On the palate, it is refined rather than forceful, with precise tannins, bright acidity, and a long, composed finish. The vintage leans toward elegance and balance, offering good early development while still retaining the structure to continue aging gracefully.

Production
The wine comes from the gravelly soils of Pauillac, where excellent drainage and the Atlantic-influenced climate help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve its characteristic depth and freshness. As with all top Bordeaux estates, fruit selection is rigorous, and vinification is aimed at preserving purity, balance, and the signature Lafite texture.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with classic dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, or game with earthy sauces. Serve at 16–18°C and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking now, especially if the bottle is still relatively youthful or recently stored.
