Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, it opens with a fresh, lifted bouquet of citrus blossom, citrus fruit, and ripe yellow apple. Subtle layers of green pepper, a touch of eucalyptus, and a hint of light tobacco add complexity. On the palate it begins soft and harmonious, then shifts into a more defined line of lively acidity and pronounced minerality. The finish is long, savory, and textural, with a lightly bitter note of bergamot and the grip of black tea. Its balance and structure suggest good short- to medium-term aging potential, where it should gain extra depth and nuance.

La Raia is located in the Alessandria province of Piemonte, within the historic Gavi area where Cortese has long been the signature white variety.
