In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby colour with impressive concentration and youthful brightness. The nose is layered and complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, graphite, cedar, tobacco and subtle smoky mineral notes that speak to its Graves origin. On the palate, it is polished and structured, combining ripe dark fruit with fine tannins, свеж? no English, let's rewrite: ripe dark fruit, savory earthiness and a long, elegant finish. The 2017 vintage is known for its freshness and balance, giving the wine an especially precise and lifted profile. La Mission Haut-Brion is sourced from historic gravel-rich soils in Graves, where excellent drainage and a warm microclimate help produce wines of intensity and refinement. The vineyards are carefully managed, with meticulous attention to parcel selection and harvest timing to ensure optimal ripeness. Vinification is traditionally handled with great precision, aiming to preserve purity of fruit, structure and the distinctive smoky-mineral character associated with the estate. The wine is typically aged in French oak barrels to build texture and complexity without overshadowing the vineyard’s natural elegance.
