Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep garnet to ruby colour with impressive concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, offering aromas of blackcurrant, plum, graphite, tobacco, cedar, and subtle hints of smoke, earth, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tightly structured, with ripe dark fruit framed by firm, polished tannins and vibrant freshness. Expect excellent depth, savoury complexity, and a long, persistent finish. This is a wine with very strong ageing potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over many years.

La Mission Haut-Brion comes from the Graves appellation, where gravelly soils with clay and sand contribute to the wine’s signature balance of richness and minerality.
