Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby hue with youthful purple reflections. The nose is layered and inviting, with ripe black cherry, plum, violet, tobacco, and subtle earthy spice, while the palate tends to be supple and concentrated, balancing ripe dark fruit with fine-grained tannins and a свежener-like mineral edge. The 2020 vintage is known for producing wines with excellent balance and impressive freshness, giving this Pomerol both immediate appeal and strong aging potential. It should continue to gain complexity over the next 10–15 years, developing more truffle, cedar, and savoury nuances with time.

Production
Produced in Pomerol on Bordeaux’s right bank, the wine benefits from the region’s prized clay and gravel soils, which are particularly well suited to Merlot and help deliver richness, texture, and depth. Grapes are typically harvested by hand in small parcels, with careful sorting to preserve only the best fruit, followed by traditional vinification aimed at extracting colour and structure while maintaining finesse.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef fillet, or mushroom-based dishes, as well as hard cheeses such as Comté or aged Gouda. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromatics and tannins to open fully.
