Kurtatsch Sauvignon Blanc 2025

Kurtatsch Sauvignon Blanc from Cantina Kurtatsch is a crisp, elegant Alto Adige white that captures the cool precision of the Cortaccia terroir. Grown at 500–600 meters above sea level, it combines aromatic intensity with the fresh, mineral style that has made Sauvignon Blanc from this part of northern Italy so distinctive.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale straw color with youthful green reflections. The nose is expressive and refined, with notes of peach, citrus, spring flowers, and elderberry, lifted by a clean alpine freshness. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and generous, yet always driven by vibrant acidity and a subtle saline edge that gives the wine shape and energy. The finish is fresh and persistent, and while it is highly enjoyable young, it should also hold its charm for a few years thanks to its balance and structure.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Cortaccia at 500–600 meters, where altitude helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The cool mountain climate and well-suited Alpine terroir are key to the wine’s purity and signature saline character. Harvesting is done with care, and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the varietal expression and crisp profile of Sauvignon Blanc.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent aperitif wine and a natural match for asparagus dishes, where its freshness and herbal notes work particularly well. It also pairs nicely with goat cheese, light seafood, spring vegetables, and simple poultry dishes. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
