Tasting Notes
The wine shows a brilliant golden hue with a fine, lively mousse. On the nose, it unfolds with citrus, white flowers and a delicate note of freshly baked brioche, adding subtle richness to its pristine profile. The palate is remarkably fresh and elegant, with flavours of green apple, pear and a touch of almond wrapped around a refined mineral spine. The finish is long, persistent and lifted by vibrant acidity, suggesting superb development ahead and excellent ageing potential for those with patience.

Production
Clos du Mesnil sits in the heart of Mesnil-sur-Oger, a celebrated Chardonnay terroir in the Côte des Blancs, where chalk-rich soils bring tension, finesse and a distinct mineral edge. The grapes are harvested by hand from the enclosed vineyard and vinified with Krug’s meticulous attention to detail, preserving the clarity and character of this singular site.

Food & Serving
Best served well chilled, around 8–10°C, this Champagne shines with refined dishes such as oysters, scallops, caviar, sashimi or simply fine aged Parmesan. Decanting is not necessary, but allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its layered aromatics.
