Tasting Notes
In the glass, it is deeply colored—almost black at the core—with an imposing, polished presence. The aromatics rise quickly and generously, bringing blackberry, blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, smoke, chocolate, espresso, earth, and a subtle touch of menthol. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet supple, combining concentrated dark fruit with savory layers of smoke, cedar, and cocoa. The tannins are firm but refined, giving the wine impressive structure and a long, resonant finish. Built for the cellar, it should continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade or more.

Production
Kings Farm Red Blend is crafted in California from a thoughtfully assembled mix of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah/Shiraz. As with many Kongsgaard wines, it is made in very limited quantities and only in chosen years, reflecting a selective approach that prioritizes quality and character over volume.

Food & Serving
This is a wine that shines alongside richly flavored dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb, venison, or wild mushroom ragout. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to let the aromatics open fully and the texture soften.
