Tasting Notes
Bright and pale golden in appearance, this Riesling opens with rich aromas of yellow peach, nectarine and apricot, followed by ripe pear, golden apple and a delicate hint of rose. On the palate, the fruit is generous and expressive, while pronounced mineral notes provide balance and definition. Fresh acidity keeps the wine lively and focused, making it enjoyable in its youth while allowing it to develop additional complexity over the next few years.

Production
The wine comes from the Pommerner Goldberg vineyard in the Mosel, where the old vines contribute concentration and depth. After destemming, the grapes remain on their skins for approximately six hours before being gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, preserving the Riesling’s fresh fruit character and mineral expression.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This Riesling is an excellent match for mussels in white-wine sauce, creamy salmon dishes, grilled prawns and lobster. It is best enjoyed without decanting; however, allowing it to breathe briefly in the glass can reveal more of its aromatic detail.

Kloster Ebernach’s viticultural history stretches back around 350 years: the monastery took over the estate and vineyard in 1673. The Zenzen family later assumed responsibility for this traditional property, with Heinz-Rudolf and Dr. Peter-Josef Zenzen representing the family’s 13th generation devoted to winegrowing. Drawing on generations of experience, the family aims to produce honest, characterful wines that reflect their Mosel home and its long winemaking heritage.
