Tasting Notes
The wine shows a bright, pale golden colour. Its expressive bouquet layers citrus fruits, ripe peach and apricot with stony mineral notes and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with energetic acidity bringing freshness to the generous fruit. A long, elegant finish leaves a lasting impression of citrus, minerals and finely structured ripeness. Already compelling, the 2016 vintage also has excellent ageing potential. With proper cellaring, its fruit should develop greater depth and harmony while retaining the freshness and precision that define fine dry Riesling.

Production
The grapes come from the steep slopes of the Hubacker vineyard in Rheinhessen, where the site’s demanding terrain and mineral-rich soils contribute to the wine’s concentration and stony character. The fruit is hand-harvested to ensure careful selection of fully ripe, healthy grapes. Vinified as a dry Riesling and produced in the Großes Gewächs style, the wine balances ripe, expressive fruit with lively acidity and a structured, mineral finish.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Its combination of richness and freshness makes it an excellent match for grilled or poached fish, seafood, shellfish and lighter poultry dishes. It also pairs well with refined vegetable preparations and dishes featuring fresh herbs. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant of 20–30 minutes can help open the wine, particularly when enjoyed young; older bottles are best poured carefully to preserve their balance.
