Klaus Peter Keller’s Abts E Riesling GG 2019 is a powerful and finely detailed Grosses Gewächs from one of Rheinhessen’s most respected producers. Drawn from the finest grapes of the Abts E vineyard, it combines ripe fruit, pronounced minerality and energetic acidity in a style built for both immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a bright, luminous yellow colour. Its complex bouquet opens with aromas of ripe apple and citrus, complemented by subtle honeyed notes and a distinctly mineral character. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with impressive depth, refreshing acidity and a long, mineral finish. The balance and structure of the 2019 vintage suggest excellent ageing potential, with further complexity likely to develop over the next decade or more when properly stored.

Produced from Riesling in the Abts E vineyard in Rheinhessen, the wine reflects the region’s combination of ripe fruit and mineral-rich terroir. The grapes are carefully selected from the site’s best parcels and vinified with a focus on preserving purity, structure and the vineyard’s individual character. As a Grosses Gewächs, it represents the estate’s highest level of dry German Riesling.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for refined seafood, grilled or roasted fish, shellfish and poultry, it also pairs well with mild, lightly aged cheeses. Serve chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential, but a brief decant of 30–60 minutes can help reveal the wine’s depth and mineral complexity, particularly when enjoyed young.
