Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden-yellow color. The nose is fragrant and inviting, with ripe fruit, exotic nuances, and the fresh, slate-tinged character that is so typical of great Mosel Riesling. The palate is layered and refined, with a creamy texture, concentrated fruit, and balanced sweetness lifted by lively acidity. It finishes long and moreish, leaving a fresh impression that suggests excellent aging potential; with time, this wine can gain even more complexity, showing honeyed, mineral, and petrol-like notes characteristic of mature Riesling.

This Auslese is a beautiful match for fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée, and blue cheeses, where its sweetness and acidity can shine. It is also excellent served on its own as a contemplative wine. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help if the wine is very young.
