Production
Les Caillottes comes from Sauvignon Blanc grown in Sancerre’s distinctive soils, where clay is mixed with a hard, flinty subsoil and a surface scattered with stones. This variation in terroir contributes both vibrant fruit expression and firm structure, giving the wine its characteristic depth and clarity. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel to preserve the grape’s pure aromatics, freshness, and natural precision.

Food & Serving
Excellent as an aperitif, this Sancerre Blanc is also a natural partner for fish and shellfish, where its acidity and citrus profile complement delicate flavors beautifully. It works equally well with light poultry dishes and young goat cheeses. Serve at 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary.

Producer
Jean Max Roger is one of the key figures behind the rise of Sancerre and Menetou-Salon in the 1970s and 1980s. Starting with just 4 hectares inherited from his family, whose name is documented in the region as far back as the 17th century, he expanded the domaine to 26 hectares, including 5 hectares in Menetou-Salon. Today, his sons Etienne and Thibault are increasingly involved, continuing the work of a family estate widely regarded as a benchmark producer in the Loire.
