Made from 100% Pinot Noir from one of the commune’s most respected Premier Cru sites, it combines depth, structure, and classic refinement, with the 2009 vintage adding remarkable ripeness and balance.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour that hints at its concentration and intensity. The nose opens with dark cherry, blackcurrant, violet, liquorice, spice, and subtle earthy notes, rounded out by a delicate touch of oak. The palate is structured and firmly built, yet the tannins are supple and silky, giving the wine both power and elegance. Layers of dark fruit and savoury complexity carry through to a long, persistent finish, and the wine has excellent ageing potential, developing further nuance and finesse over the next 20 to 25 years.

Sourced from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Rugiens in Pommard, this wine comes from one of Burgundy’s most highly regarded terroirs, known for producing some of the appellation’s most structured and age-worthy Pinot Noir. The 2009 growing season offered ideal conditions in Burgundy, allowing the grapes to reach optimal maturity and concentration. Careful selection and traditional vinification help preserve the site’s character while building depth and complexity.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for game, roast lamb, beef, and mature cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C, and decant for about one hour before serving to allow the aromas to fully open and the palate to show its full complexity.
