Production
Saint-Péray lies on the cooler, higher vineyards just south of Cornas in the northern Rhône, where the altitude helps preserve freshness in white wines. La Belle de Mai is made from Roussanne sourced from 80-year-old vines, blended with Marsanne to create a traditional Saint-Péray cuvée with both perfume and structure. Jean-Luc Colombo’s approach emphasizes respect for the vineyard and environment, with sustainable practices and a strong focus on healthy, balanced vines. The result is a wine that reflects both its terroir and the careful, hands-on work behind it.

This is an excellent match for roast chicken, creamy poultry dishes, lobster, scallops, mushroom risotto, and rich fish such as sea bass or monkfish.
