Tasting Notes
Expect a deep ruby-red color with youthful intensity in the glass. The nose is typically layered with dark berries, ripe plum, dried herbs, and the subtle spicy, slightly peppery character that gives Carménère its signature appeal, while the palate is smooth, structured, and elegant with fresh fruit, fine tannins, and a mineral thread that keeps the wine focused. Although approachable in its youth, the wine has the balance and depth to develop additional nuance over the next several years, gaining more complexity in its savory and spice-driven notes.

Carminium comes from the Colli Berici hills in Veneto, where clay-rich soils and the influence of the surrounding woods create a distinctive, almost wild-growing environment for the vines.
