Il Conte Villa Prandone’s Offida Passerina Cavaceppo 2023 is a fresh, expressive white from the Marche, made from the region’s distinctive Passerina grape. Tasting Notes
The wine is bright and pale in appearance, with a lively, clean expression. On the nose, it offers fresh, fruity aromas with an inviting floral and subtly citrus-led character. The palate is full-bodied and aromatic, balanced by crisp acidity and an attractive mineral finish that keeps the wine energetic and refreshing. Thanks to its freshness and sur lie maturation, the 2023 vintage is particularly enjoyable in its youth, when its fruit and mineral character are at their most vibrant. It should drink well over the next two to three years when properly stored.

Production
The vineyards are located among the rolling hills of Monteprandone in the province of Ascoli Piceno, where breezes from the Adriatic Sea meet cooler air from the Sibillini Mountains. This combination creates a healthy, well-balanced microclimate that supports even grape ripening. The Passerina grapes undergo a short period of skin maceration before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then aged for six months on its lees and bottled under cold conditions to preserve its freshness and aromatic precision.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. Its combination of fruit, body and mineral freshness makes it a natural partner for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh pasta with light sauces, risotto, salads and mild fresh cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to open up.
