Il Conte Villa Prandone’s Marche Sangiovese Donello 2025 is a lively, approachable Italian red shaped by the gentle hills of Monteprandone in Ascoli Piceno. Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red in the glass, this Sangiovese opens with an elegant bouquet of flowers and ripe woodland berries. The palate is juicy and energetic, led by attractive cherry flavours and supported by pleasant, well-integrated tannins. It is best enjoyed in its youthful, fruit-forward phase, when its freshness and expressive berry character are at their most inviting.

Production
The vineyards lie among the scenic hills of Monteprandone, where breezes from the Adriatic Sea meet cooler air from the Sibillini Mountains. This healthy, balanced microclimate helps the grapes ripen evenly while preserving freshness. The wine is made with a short period of skin maceration and fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, followed by six months of ageing on the lees in concrete tanks. It is then bottled cold to preserve its freshness and lively fruit profile.

Food & Serving
Serve this versatile red slightly cool, at around 14–16°C. Its juicy cherry fruit and gentle tannins pair well with antipasti, tomato-based pasta, pizza, grilled sausages, roast chicken and other lightly seasoned dishes. Decanting is not necessary, although a brief airing in the glass can help reveal its floral and berry aromas.
