I Luoghi Bolgheri Rosso Superiore Campo al Fico is a premium expression of Bolgheri, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to capture both the power and elegance of this renowned Tuscan terroir. Born from a passion for viticulture and a desire to create an uncompromising wine, it reflects the character and prestige that have made Bolgheri one of Italy’s most admired red-wine regions.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red color that immediately hints at its depth and concentration. The nose opens with generous aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and blueberry, lifted by sweet spice, mineral notes, and a balsamic edge that adds freshness and complexity. On the palate, the wine is beautifully structured, with velvety tannins and a refined sense of balance between ripeness, elegance, and intensity. The finish is long and persistent, suggesting excellent aging potential over the coming years as the wine continues to integrate and evolve.

Production
The wine comes from Bolgheri DOC in Tuscany, where the coastal climate and varied soils help Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc develop both concentration and finesse. It is made with spontaneous fermentation and around 20 days of skin maceration to build color, aroma, and structure. The free-run wine is then matured for 20 months in new French oak barriques, followed by at least 10 months in bottle before release.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled or roasted red meats, game, lamb, and rich Tuscan dishes such as wild boar ragù or bistecca alla fiorentina. It also pairs well with aged cheeses and savory mushroom-based dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1 hour to allow the aromas and structure to fully open.
