In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a polished, luminous profile that hints at both richness and clarity. The nose opens with candied peach, ripe pear, almond croissant, light honey, and a lift of orange peel, creating an inviting and layered aromatic profile. The palate is lavish and expressive, offering flavors of apple, stone fruit, mango, grilled pineapple, and meringue, with subtle notes of cocoa and spice emerging on the finish. Despite its generous texture, the wine retains firm, well-integrated acidity, giving it poise, freshness, and excellent aging potential.

Production
This wine comes from Hudson’s Home Ranch and Henry Road Ranch in California, where the climate and soils naturally limit vine vigor and yield smaller berries with intense flavor concentration and strong mineral character. The 2022 fruit was hand-worked throughout, reflecting the estate’s meticulous approach to vineyard management. After harvest, the juice was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new. The result is a Chardonnay with notable breadth, structure, and complexity, shaped by careful élevage and a commitment to expressing the character of the vintage.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with lobster, roast chicken, seared scallops, creamy pasta, or rich dishes with butter, citrus, or subtle spice. It also works well with aged hard cheeses or dishes featuring roasted nuts and stone fruit. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though a brief opening in the glass can help the wine show its full aromatic range.
