Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a bright, polished character with generous fruit concentration. The nose opens with candied peach, ripe pear, almond croissant, light honey, and a lift of orange, leading into a palate that is lush and layered without losing precision. The mouthfeel is rich and expansive, delivering apple, stone fruit, mango, grilled pineapple, meringue, and finishing with subtle cocoa and spice. The acidity is firmly in control, giving the wine freshness, balance, and a long, persistent finish. It has the structure and concentration to age gracefully over the next several years.

Production
The grapes come from Hudson’s Home Ranch and Henry Road Ranch in California, where the climate and soils naturally keep yields low and berry size small, concentrating flavor and minerality. In 2019, the winemaking team aged the juice for 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new, adding texture, depth, and complexity to the final wine. Production is extremely limited, with only 1,000 cases made.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay is a natural match for roast chicken, lobster, butter-poached seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and rich dishes with truffle or mushrooms. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant if you want to open up the wine’s aromatics and layered texture more quickly.
