Description
Hendrick’s Gin is a distinctive Scottish gin celebrated for its unusual botanical profile and unmistakably fresh character. Distilled in small batches and infused with cucumber and rose, it offers a refined alternative to more traditional London Dry styles.
Aroma & Palate
The nose is bright and aromatic, combining classic juniper with delicate floral rose and a cool, crisp hint of cucumber. On the palate, fresh botanical flavours are layered with citrus, gentle spice and a soft floral note, creating a smooth, balanced texture. The finish is clean and refreshing, with cucumber and juniper lingering lightly.
Distillation & Maturation
Hendrick’s is produced in small batches in Scotland using two different copper stills—a traditional pot still and the distinctive Carter-Head still—to create a layered spirit. Its signature character comes from a botanical recipe that includes juniper, coriander and citrus alongside cucumber and rose, which are added to the spirit after distillation. Gin is not matured in cask; its freshness and aromatic detail are intended to be enjoyed immediately after production.
Serving Suggestions
Serve Hendrick’s with premium tonic over plenty of ice, garnished with a slice of cucumber for a classic serve that highlights its fresh character. It is also well suited to cocktails such as a Gin & Tonic, Tom Collins or Martini. For a more concentrated tasting, enjoy it neat or with a small splash of chilled water.
Distillery
Hendrick’s Gin is made in Scotland by William Grant & Sons at the Girvan distillery in Ayrshire. Launched in the late 1990s, it quickly became known for its innovative use of cucumber and rose, as well as its combination of two contrasting stills. This unconventional approach helped establish Hendrick’s as one of the most recognisable contemporary gin brands.
