Haderburg Gewurztraminer 2025

Haderburg Gewurztraminer 2025 is an organic white wine from Alto Adige that captures the aromatic intensity and finesse the region is known for. Made from Traminer Aromatico and produced in very limited quantities, it combines floral elegance, spicy depth, and a distinctive territorial character that has made Gewürztraminer one of South Tyrol’s most iconic grapes.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear straw-yellow color with elegant golden reflections. The nose is expressive and precise, with rose petals, hints of nutmeg, and blackcurrant leaf, unfolding into a perfume that feels both lifted and complex. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, balancing aromatic richness with a pleasing sweet-spicy contrast and a long, persistent finish. While approachable young, it has the structure and concentration to develop additional nuance over the next few years.

Production
The wine comes from Salorno in Trentino-Alto Adige, where Traminer Aromatico benefits from an ideal alpine microclimate and calcareous-clay soils that naturally enhance its spicy, aromatic profile. The vineyards are trained on Guyot and carefully managed to keep yields low, resulting in fruit with excellent concentration. Harvest takes place in mid-September at optimal ripeness. Fermentation in stainless steel is used to preserve the grape’s delicate aromatic character and deliver a clean, precise expression of the vintage and site.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 12°C. It pairs beautifully with warm starters, rich fish dishes such as salmon or trout, and strongly flavored cheeses; it also works well with lightly spiced Asian cuisine and aromatic poultry dishes. Decanting is generally not necessary, but a short aeration can help open the bouquet if served very young.

Haderburg is a respected family-run estate in South Tyrol with roots in winemaking dating back to the 1970s. The winery has been producing this organic Gewürztraminer since 1986, building a strong reputation for wines that reflect both the region’s identity and a careful, quality-driven approach. Its limited production and consistent focus on terroir have made it a notable name in Alto Adige.
