Guido Porro Barolo Lazzeirasco 2020 is a classic, terroir-driven Barolo from the respected Serralunga d’Alba commune in Piemonte. Sourced from the prized Lazzeirasco vineyard, it combines the power and structure Barolo is known for with a refined, elegant edge that speaks clearly of its limestone-rich soils.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour, hinting at its concentration and youth. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of ripe red berries, dried roses, tar, and a touch of spice. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, yet poised, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish. It has the structure to age beautifully over time, but can also be enjoyed now with proper decanting.

Production
Lazzeirasco is an acclaimed cru in Serralunga d’Alba, where calcareous soils help shape a Barolo of depth, precision, and finesse. The wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit, then matured in large old Slavonian oak casks, allowing the Nebbiolo character and site expression to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is an excellent match for rich meat dishes, truffle-based pasta, game, and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to help soften the tannins and open the aromatics.
