Description

Grande Réserve Brut by Frerejean Frères is a refined Champagne that combines modern craftsmanship with the elegance of some of the region’s most respected Premier- and Grand-Cru vineyards. With its balance of freshness, depth, and creamy texture, it reflects the house style of precision, patience, and terroir expression.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a fine, persistent mousse and a bright, pale golden colour. The nose opens with citrus, white flowers, and subtle pastry notes, lifted by a mineral edge that speaks to its Champagne origins. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with creamy texture, crisp acidity, and a precise, long finish. Thanks to its four years on lees and multi-vintage composition, it already offers considerable complexity and can continue to evolve gracefully for a few more years.

Production
This cuvée is sourced from Premier- and Grand-Cru parcels in the Côte des Blancs and beyond, including vineyards in Cramant, Verzenay, and Grauves, bringing together chalk-driven minerality and depth. The blend consists of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier, and it is made using traditional bottle fermentation followed by around four years of ageing on the lees, which adds richness, finesse, and a very fine bead.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at 8–10°C to best enjoy its freshness and aromatic detail. It makes an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with scallops, poultry, asparagus dishes, goat’s cheese, or a young Comté. Decanting is not recommended; simply open and serve well chilled.

Producer
Frerejean Frères is based in Avize in the Côte des Blancs and is known for producing contemporary Champagne with artisanal precision. The house has built its reputation on carefully selected crus and a style that combines elegance, structure, and mineral expression, making it a respected name among modern Champagne producers.
