Gotas de Mar Albariño 2024 is a crisp, ocean-influenced white wine from Rías Baixas that captures the fresh, vibrant character for which the region is celebrated. Made from 100% Albariño and shaped by old vines and careful lees aging, it offers a refined balance of fruit, minerality, and bright acidity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a beautiful pale yellow color that hints at its freshness and purity. The nose is expressive, with intense aromas of peach, white flowers, wet stone minerality, and a subtle breeze of the sea. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced and lively, with a pleasing acidity that keeps the flavors focused and refreshing. The lees aging adds a little texture and depth, making the finish smooth and satisfying. It is best enjoyed young for its aromatic brightness, though it can hold nicely over the short term.

Production
This Albariño comes from 15- to 25-year-old vines in Rías Baixas, a coastal region whose cool Atlantic climate gives the grape its signature freshness and saline edge. The grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning hours to preserve their aromatic intensity and natural acidity. After fermentation, the wine spends six months on its lees, which adds complexity, roundness, and a more polished mouthfeel.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for oysters, crab salads, and shrimp dishes, where its acidity and mineral profile complement the sweetness of seafood beautifully. It should be served well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and does not need decanting.
