Tasting Notes
Expect a deep garnet color with the translucent brightness typical of Nebbiolo, hinting at both freshness and depth. The aromatics are likely to open with red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, licorice, and a touch of spice, supported by savory mineral notes from the site. On the palate, this should be firm and finely built, with taut tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, linear finish. The limestone-dominant soils and elevated exposure give the wine precision and energy, suggesting excellent aging potential over many years as the tannins soften and the bouquet becomes more complex.

Production
La Serra comes from vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba, where the high-altitude position near the top of the slope allows for generous sun exposure throughout the day. The soils are predominantly calcareous, contributing freshness, structure, and mineral definition, while the estate adjusts leaf removal and green harvesting according to weather conditions and the stage of veraison and ripening to preserve balance and quality.
