Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet-ruby color with the translucent depth that signals classic Nebbiolo. The nose is layered and refined, with aromas of red cherry, rose petals, wild berries, crushed herbs, anise, and subtle notes of spice, earth and graphite. On the palate, it is graceful yet firmly structured, with vivid acidity, finely grained tannins and a long, savory finish. The 2022 vintage should offer approachability in youth, but like all great Barbarescos, it has the backbone to develop beautifully over time, gaining complexity with bottle age.

Production
Made from Nebbiolo grown in Piedmont’s Barbaresco zone, where calcareous marl soils and a temperate continental climate help preserve freshness and aromatic detail. Harvesting is typically done by hand to ensure only the best fruit is selected, and vinification is carried out with careful temperature control and extended maceration to extract perfume, structure and depth while retaining elegance.

Food & Serving
Excellent with truffle dishes, risotto with mushrooms, braised veal, roast lamb, and aged cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Castelmagno. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
