Production
Produced in Valpolicella in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, this Amarone is made from corvina veronese, corvinone, and rondinella grapes grown in the highest vineyards. The elevated sites help build flavor concentration while maintaining freshness, an important balance for a wine of this style. After harvest, the grapes are dried through the winter for several months before fermentation, and the concentrated wine is then matured for 24 months in large, older oak barrels.
