Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with impressive density. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with ripe dark fruits, spice, and tobacco, unfolding over time with subtle notes of vanilla and chocolate from oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with supple tannins and well-integrated acidity giving the wine structure and freshness. The finish is long, polished, and elegant, and while it is already showing beautifully, it still has the capacity to evolve further with additional bottle age.

Produced in Tuscany from 100% Merlot, Lamaione benefits from a terroir that brings ripeness, depth, and natural balance to the fruit. The wine was carefully aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, a process that adds nuance, texture, and aromatic complexity while supporting the grape’s rich character.

This wine is an excellent match for red meat, game, and mature cheeses, where its structure and depth can stand up to rich flavors. Serve at 18-20°C, and decanting is recommended if the bottle has been stored for a long time to help the wine fully open in the glass.
