Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright ruby-red colour with the clarity and translucency that Pinot Noir lovers look for. The nose is delicate yet layered, with red cherry, wild strawberry, violet, subtle spice, and a gentle earthy nuance that adds depth and complexity. On the palate, it is graceful and silky, with fine tannins, lively freshness, and a polished, medium-bodied structure. The fruit is pure and focused rather than heavy, and the finish is long and savoury. While enjoyable now for its finesse, it has the balance to develop additional nuance with a few more years in bottle.

Production
Ponkler comes from a carefully selected vineyard site in Trentino-Alto Adige, where cool temperatures and mountain influences help preserve freshness, aromatic precision, and natural acidity. The grapes are typically harvested by hand to ensure only healthy, fully ripe fruit reaches the cellar, and vinification is carried out with a light touch to protect the wine’s delicate character and site expression.
