Description
Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé is an elegant, refined sparkling wine from Trentino, crafted in the traditional bottle-fermented style and aged for 36 months on its lees. Its delicate old-rose colour, generous fruit character and subtle autolytic complexity showcase Ferrari’s ambition to create Italian sparkling wines capable of standing alongside the finest Champagne.
Tasting Notes
The wine displays a graceful old-rose hue with a fine, persistent mousse. Its broad and complex nose combines bright citrus with ripe berries and peach, complemented by delicate floral nuances.
On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, balancing generous fruit with refreshing freshness and a creamy texture. The finish is notably long, carrying delicate notes of yeast and brioche. It is ready to enjoy now, while the extended lees ageing gives it the structure to develop further complexity over the next few years when carefully stored.
Production
Produced in Trentino from grapes grown at high altitude, Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé reflects the region’s cool Alpine climate and pronounced day-to-night temperature variation. Ferrari’s vineyards are farmed using sustainable practices, with a strong focus on respect for the land and the local territory. The wine is made according to the traditional method and spends 36 months ageing on its lees, allowing it to develop its fine mousse, depth and subtle yeasty character.
Food & Serving
A versatile choice as an aperitif, Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé pairs beautifully with seafood, sushi, shellfish, salmon, delicate charcuterie and salads featuring fresh berries or goat’s cheese. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Decanting is not recommended; pour gently into tulip-shaped sparkling wine glasses to preserve the mousse while allowing the aromas to open.
Producer
The Ferrari story began in 1902, when Giulio Ferrari set out to produce a Trentino wine capable of competing with the great Champagnes. A pioneer of Chardonnay cultivation in Italy, he established a reputation for exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail. Today, the third generation of the Lunelli family—Marcello, Matteo, Camilla and Alessandro—continues the vision, combining tradition and innovation while promoting Ferrari as an ambassador for the Italian art of living. All Ferrari wines are Trentodoc and are made exclusively from high-altitude grapes grown in Trentino.
