Tasting Notes
Expect a vibrant ruby-red color with the freshness and transparency typical of well-made Sangiovese. The nose is likely to show red cherry, wild berries, violets, and subtle herbal and earthy accents, with a savory edge that reflects its coastal Tuscan origins. On the palate, Poggio Valente usually combines bright acidity with firm but polished tannins, giving the wine energy, balance, and length. Production
Poggio Valente comes from a cru vineyard in Pereta, near Scansano, in the Maremma area of southern Tuscany. The vineyard was acquired by Fattoria Le Pupille in 1996, and the project has been dedicated to expressing Sangiovese’s potential in this site through careful vineyard work and thoughtful cellar management. Details on harvesting and vinification are not provided, but the wine is clearly crafted to emphasize terroir, balance, and varietal purity.

Food & Serving
This Sangiovese is a natural partner for classic Tuscan dishes such as grilled meats, roast lamb, wild boar, mushroom-based pasta, and aged pecorino. Serve it at around 16–18°C to bring out its aromatic freshness and structure. Decanting for about 30–60 minutes is recommended, especially if enjoyed young.
