Casa di Terra Bolgheri Superiore 2021 is a refined single-varietal Cabernet Franc from one of Tuscany’s most exciting coastal appellations. It captures the modern Bolgheri style beautifully: ripe, polished, and structured, with the kind of depth and finesse that have made Super Tuscans famous since the late 1980s.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, concentrated ruby color. The nose is expressive and layered, with blackcurrant, ripe cherry, graphite, dried herbs, sweet spice, and a touch of toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, with silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, savory finish. The Cabernet Franc character gives the wine both aromatic lift and a precise, mineral edge. It has strong aging potential and should continue to evolve gracefully over the next 8–12 years, gaining complexity and polish.

Production
The wine comes from Bolgheri in coastal Tuscany, where maritime influence, warm days, and cooling breezes help Cabernet Franc achieve full ripeness while retaining freshness. After around 25 days of fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is aged for nearly two years in French barriques with medium toast, including around 20% new oak and the remainder in second-fill barrels, creating structure without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with roasted lamb, beef fillet, game, braised short ribs, or rich mushroom dishes. Serve at 16–18°C and, if possible, decant for 1–2 hours to allow the aromas and texture to fully open.
