Endrizzi Trento Brut 2023

Endrizzi Trento Brut 2023 is a refined Trento DOC sparkling wine made in the traditional method, showing the precision and mountain freshness for which Trentino is renowned. Dry, gastronomic, and elegantly shaped, it reflects both the high-altitude vineyards of Val di Cembra and the long-standing craftsmanship of Endrizzi, a historic estate founded in 1885.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections and a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is intense and focused, led by crisp green apple and a clean, vivid mountain-driven freshness. On the palate, it is lively, brisk, and sapid, with a dry profile and excellent balance that keeps the wine sleek and energetic. The minimal dosage allows the vineyard character to come through clearly, while extended lees aging adds texture and depth. It is built to drink beautifully now, though it can also hold well for a few more years as its complexity develops.

Production
The grapes come from small terraced vineyards in Val di Cembra, at 500 to 650 meters above sea level, where the cool alpine climate slows ripening and preserves acidity and aromatic definition. Part of the fruit comes from Pian di Castello, a rare wooded site planted more than 30 years ago and trained to Guyot. Harvesting is done by hand, with careful cluster thinning during the growing season, and the whole bunches are pressed gently to avoid maceration. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle and at least 24 months on the lees, finishing with a minimal dosage to preserve purity and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This Brut works beautifully as an aperitif, but it truly shines at the table with seafood, shellfish, vegetarian dishes, white meats, and mature cheeses. Serve chilled at 6-8°C, and decanting is not necessary.
