Elena Walch Alto Adige Sauvignon is a beautifully expressive white wine that captures the precision and freshness of Alto Adige. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it combines aromatic intensity with refined balance, showing why this alpine region is so highly regarded for elegant white wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate yellow color with green reflections, hinting at its freshness and vitality. The nose is vivid and inviting, with ripe gooseberry, papaya, elderflower, and subtle herbal notes creating a layered aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is elegant and finely structured, with well-balanced acidity that gives it lift and clarity. The finish is clean and appealing, and while it is wonderfully enjoyable now, it should also hold up nicely over the next few years, maintaining its aromatic freshness.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Alto Adige with southeast- and southwest-facing exposure, rooted in calcareous soils with sandy veins that help shape the wine’s mineral freshness and aromatic precision. The fruit is hand-harvested, gently vinified with temperature-controlled fermentation, and then matured for several months on the lees in stainless steel tanks to build texture without losing purity.

Food & Serving
This Sauvignon Blanc is a natural match for seafood, shellfish, fresh goat cheese, asparagus, and light Mediterranean dishes. Serve chilled at around 8-10°C to highlight its freshness and aromatic detail, and decanting is not necessary.
