Tasting Notes

On the palate, the wine is generous and polished, with juicy dark fruit at the core, a supple texture, and a savory, lightly peppery finish. The single-vineyard sandy soil gives it a distinctive sense of finesse and freshness, while the foudre aging helps preserve purity and balance. This Bonarda comes from La Esperanza, a single vineyard in Mendoza planted on sandy soils, which contribute to the wine’s aromatic clarity and elegant texture. Mendoza’s dry climate and high-altitude conditions provide excellent ripening while preserving freshness, and the fruit is vinified to highlight varietal character before spending 12 months in foudres, which add subtle complexity without overwhelming the wine’s natural personality.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine, especially well suited to grilled beef, lamb, empanadas, mushroom dishes, and richly seasoned barbecue. Serve it slightly below room temperature, ideally around 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes will help open up its aromatic spice and soften the tannins.
