Tasting Notes
In the glass, the 2023 Echo de Lynch-Bages shows a deep ruby color with youthful purple reflections. The nose is expressive and refined, with aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is structured yet supple, combining dark berry fruit with savory notes, polished tannins, and a fresh mineral edge that speaks to Pauillac’s identity. The finish is balanced and persistent, with enough backbone to age gracefully over the medium term. While already approachable in its youth, the large-format bottle will help preserve freshness and encourage a slower, more harmonious development over time.

Production
Produced in Pauillac, in the heart of Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Echo de Lynch-Bages benefits from gravelly soils that promote excellent drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon ripen with depth and precision. The fruit is carefully selected from the estate’s younger vines and lots that best suit the second wine style, with harvesting carried out parcel by parcel to capture optimal ripeness. Vinification follows a traditional Bordeaux approach, combining temperature-controlled fermentation with ageing in oak to build texture, complexity, and balance.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, duck breast, mushroom dishes, and hard cheeses such as Comté or aged Gouda. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially for the 2023 vintage in Methuselah format, to allow the wine to open fully and show its aromatic depth.
