Echo de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of the acclaimed Fifth Growth estate Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, offering a more approachable expression of one of Bordeaux’s most respected names. The 2022 vintage captures the power and refinement that have made the estate a benchmark in the Médoc, with classic Pauillac character and impressive depth for a second wine.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, with a bright, polished core that hints at the concentration of the 2022 vintage. The nose opens with blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, graphite, and a touch of tobacco and spice, giving it an unmistakably Bordeaux feel. On the palate, it is structured yet generous, with ripe black fruit, fresh acidity, and fine-grained tannins that give the wine shape and energy. The finish is long and savoury, with notes of spice, oak, and mineral tension. While already appealing in youth, it should gain further complexity over the next 8–12 years.

Production
Produced in Pauillac on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Echo de Lynch-Bages comes from gravel-rich soils that favor Cabernet-driven wines with structure and aromatic precision. The grapes are typically harvested by hand and vinified with the same attention to detail as the grand vin, with careful sorting, controlled fermentation, and maturation in oak barrels to build texture and finesse.

Food & Serving
Ideal with roast lamb, beef filet, duck, game birds, or mushroom-based dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 30–60 minutes if drinking young to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
